1. COMPETENCY BASED ORIENTATION PROGRAM (CBOP)
The Competency Based Orientation Program (CBOP) is a program designed to build the basic know-how of the key functions at the workplace and provide a solid foundation for new employees to align their role in the organization. Unlike the conventional approach whereby employees are required to read and understand processes, the CBOP program provides an engaging interaction to improve understanding and develop the competencies required to perform the job. This will serve as a crucial element for potential employee attraction and existing employee retention.
This program is designed by Penang Water Services Academy (PWSA) in collaboration with Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP) which provides the technical expertise to ensure that it is relevant for the industry. As such, this program plays an important role as the technical competency foundation for two (2) critical engineering departments in PBAPP namely Production and Operation.
